We are weak, yet… stronger when connected.
It was a usual Friday, I heard LOVE being said non-verbally.
She’s on the bed, hair shaved, lying weakly, not even having the strength to turn her own body or sit up. I see her holding her mom, probably like how she was once being embraced in her arms when she was still a baby. I hear her sing hymns while massaging her feet, probably like how she was being cradled in care when she was a little kid. I guess we will not know how to love and serve unless first being loved and served. Love inherits and endures.
It was a mother and daughter moment, filled with love.
We chat briefly, sing softly and pray peacefully.
It’s wonderful to watch her slumber with a sweet snore.
For a very long time, we got involved in each other’s lives. We laughed and cried.
There was a time, when we were in college, we used to hang out at that little ice-cream coffee shop they owned. It’s a memorable carefree time. Years had gone by and our relationship just grew deeper and deeper in the Lord.
Family, are people being wired together and so don’t want to be disconnected, especially when life is harsh at times. There were storms, whether it’s sweet like ice-cream or bitter as coffee, weathering together is how we want it through.
Though it’s bitter, the aroma is rich, as LOVE!
God Bless this Family!
